Roadmap Review - February 2025

The Roadmap Review is your monthly update on the work we’re doing to make your MonkeyPod awesome. But this isn’t just a one-way street. We know our users are a passionate bunch, so if you’ve got a kickass feature idea, or if something we already do just isn’t working the way it should, we want to hear about it. Easily Request Pledge Payments

Does your organization rely on pledged donations? You’re not alone, and we’ve worked on improving how MonkeyPod works with pledges to make them even easier to manage. 

As you probably know, recording a pledge is easy from either the relationship record or from the finance menu. Once your pledge is recorded, you can send an email requesting payment for that pledge right from MonkeyPod. You can customize the message, and when you press send, your donor will receive an email with your message and link to pay via credit card. 

When they donate through that link, the transaction gets recorded automatically and MonkeyPod tracks how much is left on the pledge. And of course, they'll receive a receipt via email automatically, and your books and budgets will be updated. Pretty cool, right? 

Calendly Events in Email Automation

We’re really proud of the apps and integrations we’ve built and the ways they can level up your organization’s work. And when we can combine an app with an integration to unlock even more potential? Well that’s like chocolate and peanut butter. (Or wasabi peas and an IPA if that’s more your speed.)

That’s why we recently tied our Calendly Integration into our Email Automation App. Now, you can set an If/Else step in an automation to check for whether or not a Calendly event has been scheduled. 

Let’s say you’re trying to get your board members to sign up for a meeting or get your volunteers to schedule their orientation. Now you can set up an automated email sequence that removes people once they schedule an event. No need to manually remove someone from the list once they schedule their meeting. 

Try it out for yourself! The Calendly Automation and Email Automation App are available to MonkeyPod Pro and Enterprise subscribers. 

Saved Searches in the Nav Bar

With MonkeyPod’s advanced relationship search, you can easily slice, dice, and filter your data to find exactly the constituents you’re looking for.

Let’s say you’re looking for lapsed donors. If that’s something you’re doing regularly, you don’t want to have to apply the same filters over and over again, right?

Enter saved searches. Now this isn’t a new feature – you’ve been able to do this for a while. But to save you some clicks, you can now access your saved searches straight from the Relationships navigation menu. Those saved seconds pile up over time!  

Search Relationships by Phone Number

Speaking of search, we’ve got another handy time-saver for you. When quick-searching your relationships, you can now search by phone number in addition to name or email address. You can take advantage of this when you’re looking for a specific relationship from the Relationships navigation menu and also when recording a transaction, adding someone to a pipeline, or any other place where you need to select a single relationship. 

Introducing the MonkeyPod Affiliate Program

At MonkeyPod, we love when a satisfied client refers one of their friends or colleagues to us. Getting on the phone with a new organization and finding out they know one of the clients we’ve worked with for years always puts a smile on our face. And frankly, word-of-mouth is by far the most important way that new users discover our software.

That got us thinking. What if we could make it even easier to share MonkeyPod with your community? And what if we could thank you for doing so?
